Company Information

Ultrasonics makes its debut: In 1952, ultrasonic cleaning was taken out of the laboratory and first used in production by Bendix Corporation. Ultrasonics proved a valuable means of cleaning delicate and intricate aircraft parts that could not be cleaned by any other method. This pioneering work led to the introduction of Bendix ultrasonic cleaners to manufacturers world-wide, so they too could clean parts efficiently and safely.

Swen Sonic is formed: During the 1980's, a group of Bendix executives purchased the ultrasonic parts cleaner business, and formed the Swen Sonic Corporation. Swen Sonic then refined the ultrasonic energy systems and developed electronic control systems which greatly improved the operating efficiency of ultrasonic cleaning. These new and improved 30kHz cleaners were given the brand name BLUE WAVE.

Swen Sonic becomes Blue Wave Ultrasonics: Designed for continuous, heavy-duty cleaning in manufacturing processes where failures can be extremely costly, Blue Wave equipment represents an uncompromising approach to both performance and reliability. The superiority in the design of Blue Wave's ultrasonic cleaners is reflected in shorter cleaning cycles, more effective cleaning, lower energy consumption and remarkable reliability. Savings in Labor, Time, Energy, Maintenance Costs, and Downtime over the life of the cleaning equipment have justified the investment for thousand of Blue Wave Customers.

Blue Wave Technology: Our difference is your advantage! To produce the best possible cleaning results, Blue Wave's systems utilize a zero-spaced, silver brazed
magnetostrictive transducer design. This type of transducer is ideal because it efficiently converts electrical energy into mechanical vibrations and does not deteriorate over time. Due to the higher engineering skills and cost of this technology, most ultrasonic cleaning manufacturers choose to employ lower quality, man-made piezoelectric crystal transducers, which will deteriorate over a period of time.

To assure even cleaning throughout the tank, Blue Wave utilizes the only combined
sweep-frequency/auto-follow technology in the industry. Blue Wave's Clean-Sweep ultrasonic generator combines patented sweep frequency with superimposed auto-follow circuitry which requires each transducer to seek peak resonance over 100 times each second, thus assuring uniform cavitation within an aqueous solution. This results in faster, more predictable cleaning performance than is possible with single frequency systems.

Assisting you with
Lab Analysis: Blue Wave will complete a thorough analysis of your cleaning process. We consider the items to be cleaned, the contaminant to be removed, where the cleaning step fits in the over-all process, throughput, and more. We then recommend the ideal process for your application, spelling out exactly how to achieve your required cleaning specifications.
